Under the collaboration, Los Angeles customers using the DoorDash app could receive orders from Serve's autonomous sidewalk robots, with plans to roll out the service to additional U.S. cities in the coming months.

"Partnering with Serve gives our platform even more delivery options, expanding how we fulfill orders for consumers and merchants alike," he added.
Serve has previously only used its delivery robots for Uber Eats deliveries, which it partnered with in 2021.
By teaming up with DoorDash, the nation's largest food delivery platform, Serve will gain access to a wider network of merchants and customers outside the Uber ecosystem.
"We're thrilled to join forces with DoorDash to help bring the future of delivery to life," Ali Kashani, Serve Robotics' CEO, said in the announcement. "By teaming up with DoorDash, we're accelerating our vision to make sustainable, reliable robotic delivery available in every neighborhood across the U.S."
To date, Serve robots have been deployed via Uber Eats in L.A., Miami, Chicago and Atlanta, with over 100,000 deliveries completed across 2,500-plus restaurants.
The partnership comes a month after DoorDash unveiled its small-scale delivery robot, Dot, which can navigate bike lanes, roads and sidewalks.
