Bring a little more joy to your chat! Today, we’re beginning to roll out Remix so you can edit and reimagine any photo in Google Messages.
Our new tool uses Nano Banana, the Gemini image model, to do everything from redesigning rooms and putting new hairstyles on your friends to turning puppies into action figures. Just long-press a photo in your chat to see the Remix button, or select one from your gallery to get started.
Best of all, your friends can see your remixed photos, no matter what phone they use, and it even works in the group chat. Anybody using Google Messages can even remix the same image back and forth — all without ever having to leave the app. It’s the latest way you can have fun with your friends, and it’s only on Android.
