Choosing Your First Generative AI Use Cases
To get started with generative AI, first focus on areas that can improve human experiences with information.
The startup positions its AI agent development platform as meeting rising transparency and reliability standards.
VoiceRun, a platform that allows developers to create their own voice agents, has closed its seed funding round with $5.5 million.
The round was led by Flybridge Capital Partners, with participation from RRE Ventures and Link Ventures. The investment will be used to expand the company's voice AI technology and accelerate its time-to-market.
VoiceRun positions itself as providing voice agents that meet the growing reliability and governance standards expected of enterprises as AI agents see rising uptake across industries.
To meet these tightening safety and accountability requirements, VoiceRun said it uses a code-first approach and "forward-deployed" engineering models that support rapid development while maintaining transparency.
Customers own their application-layer code, while VoiceRun provides the orchestration layer for speech-to-text, large language models and text-to-speech, along with the tooling to continuously measure, iterate and improve systems in real time.
Nick Leonard, VoiceRun's CEO, said in a press release that the company gives businesses code ownership, deployment flexibility and deep observability so they can "move fast, clear security reviews, and deliver production-ready solutions at scale."
"Voice AI is having a moment, yet many enterprise projects stall between an impressive demo and a dependable production rollout," he said in the release. "This seed round accelerates our work on the infrastructure that makes enterprise voice systems scalable and durable."
Another key differentiator, according to the company, is deployment flexibility. VoiceRun supports public cloud environments, customer virtual private clouds and on-premises deployments, allowing enterprises to meet data residency and compliance requirements.
The news comes as AI agents see a consistent upswing amongst businesses, with 85% of enterprises estimated to have used AI agents by the end of 2025.
In particular, the startup is targeting voice AI uptake in restaurants, insurance, banking and telecommunications, with early customer rollouts including phone ordering and reservations, contact center triage and lead qualification.
"VoiceRun took us from zero to production deployment in weeks," Chad Jaquays, COO and co-founder at Tivly, said in the release. "Their tooling shows us exactly what to improve each week, so accuracy and customer satisfaction keep climbing."
